Donatela Resort and Sanctuary

We stayed in the family villa for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience from check in until check out. The staff were very responsive to any requests and the hotel provided free shuttles to the Alona beach area. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. It had 2 separate bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. We had breakfast at the on site restaurant, which included pastries, fruits, eggs, and various meats.

The resort is absolutely stunning and the service here has been immaculate! Probably the best service we have received in the Philippines after traveling for 3 weeks. Every single staff member from check in, driver, cleaning service, and kitchen staff has been extremely polite, amicable, and accommodating.

We had 3 nights stay here in Donatela for my birthday and OMG… The service, the accommodation, and the staff is so Uuuuh-mazing. The rooms are like a modern nipa hut style but the interior is very luxurious.
Everywhere you’ll go is Instagram worthy. I already exhausted my phone’s memory by just taking pictures there. Hahaha! The restaurant’s scenery is good for romantic dates and they serve a generous amount of food for its price. The service really exceeded our expectations. They also offer a free shuttle service to Alona Beach. The staff and even the interns are so nice. They are so friendly and you’ll always see smiles on their faces.

Immediately upon entering we were made to feel like VIP guests, a warm welcome from all the staff (who were phenomenal throughout and went the extra mile), fresh calamari’s juice and a cold towel, and a private lift to our villa. We were delighted with our initial room, however shortly after we arrived we were given a free upgrade to THE BEST VILLA on the property, which had the most beautiful interior, all the amenities and more, as well as a beautiful private pool. The location was remote, but everything you could need is onsite, including one of the best restaurants on the island.

During my stay at the Donatela hotel, I had the pleasure to dine at Paprika daily. Each meal was always something new and exciting with high quality ingredients!

The stay is worth three times the price we paid!

This restaurant is really good. The food was consistently fantastic. We loved the pastries, which were fresh baked every day. We ate breakfast here every day we were at the hotel and also ate dinner a couple of times.

We really liked their service! They quickly responds to my requests.. they even set up a romantic dinner for us for free and made our lovely breakfast in our villa on our last day. Also paprika serves good food!

My wife and I had a great dining experience here. Hidden off a beaten up road lies this gem of a restaurant. You first get this breathtaking view to accompany your meal. The restaurant sits on top of a cliff, and allows you take in a pristine ocean view.
